VolkerWessels strengthens Supervisory Board
VolkerWessels is expanding its Supervisory Board with two new members: Jan Hommen and Sietze Hepkema. Mr. Hommen will assume the role of chairman of the Supervisory Board, succeeding Henry Holterman who will become vice chairman. The Supervisory Board also includes Dik Wessels and René Kuipers.
The appointment of the two new Supervisory Board members is in line with the company’s efforts to explore a possible IPO. This adjustment to the Supervisory Board is desirable with a view to the Dutch Corporate Governance Code.
“We are pleased that our Supervisory Board is being strengthened by Jan Hommen and Sietze Hepkema. It enables us to bring our supervision more in line with the desired governance for companies our size. Both Jan and Sietze have a wealth of (international) experience at supervisory and management board positions and in the field of corporate governance. With this, they are suited with qualities that are an excellent fit for VolkerWessels,” said Henry Holterman.
Chairman of the Management Board Jan de Ruiter said he is also very pleased about the proposed appointments. “I speak on behalf of my colleagues when I say that we are looking forward to working with Jan and Sietze. Their vast experience will contribute greatly to the supervision provided by the Supervisory Board of VolkerWessels.”
