Area developer SDK Vastgoed has sold the 109 meter high gate of Strijp-S 'Niko' on behalf of the development combination Spoorzone BV. With this, the go-ahead is given for the realisation. With this step, the extension of Strijp-S develops even more into a high-rise urban district.
Niko is the final piece to the western side of the area and will soon form a striking landmark in the now imposing skyline of Strijp-S. The building will form the missing link between the iconic Klokgebouw, Strijp-T and the Machinekamerplein, which is still to be designed. With 333 new homes, yet another part of the characterful Strijp-S will be transformed.
The design by architect de zwarte Hond has been sold to a sustainable Dutch investment fund and will be realised by Stam en de Koning Bouw and Visser & Smit Bouw.
We are looking forward to continuing the transformation of Strijp together with all the parties involved.
