VolkerWessels Telecom ready to pursue fibre-optic ambitions

News
20 February 2019

The rollout of fibre optics in the Netherlands is once again in full swing. At the end of 2018 the sector spoke of its ambition to connect around 1.8 million more households to the fibre-optic network in the coming years. This is good news for VolkerWessels Telecom. Being an important party in the chain, we have revived our fibre-optic activities under the name FttX.

Goal of FttX

The objective of FttX is to respond to demand for fibre optics from both existing and new customers. “We are structuring FttX is such a way that we are also taking other future users into account. We can service them with solutions for smart cities and 5G, among other things,” said Bastiaan Ruijg, Business Manager at VolkerWessels Telecom.

Quick response to market needs

FttX is currently structured in such a way that we are able to immediately respond to needs from within the market. From sharing our expertise on designing a fibre-optic network to ensuring the availability of sufficient materials and capacity – VolkerWessels Telecom is ready to go with FttX!
