Unique volunteer job for technical go-getters
VolkerWessels today launched a recruitment campaign for the unique position of 'Technical Pitlane Assistant' during the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix 2022, on September 2, 3 and 4 at CM.com Circuit Zandvoort. The selected candidates will work three days as volunteers in the pitlane between the Formula 1 teams and the drivers and will be part of Team VolkerWessels. Interested parties can apply until June 20 via www.werkenbijvolkerwessels.nl/pitlane.
The Technical Pitlane Assistant's work area is right in the middle of the action: the pit lane. Between race sessions, during free practice or during qualifying, this is where the F1 cars are assessed for weight and other technical aspects. It is the Technical Pitlane Assistant's job to safely maneuver the cars towards the scales in the FIA pit boxes and assist with other work in the pitlane. The chosen candidates will receive training leading up to the event and an official KNAF license authorizing them to work as an official in the pit lane.
Alfred Vos, CEO of VolkerWessels: "It's great that as Event Supporter of the Dutch Grand Prix we can offer this spectacular position again this year. Last year we saw that for many people this is a dream job at the intersection of technology and top sport. For this role we are looking for team players who get energy from speed, dynamics and the feeling that it's all about something. Real talents who are structured and focused and have a great sense of responsibility. These are also exactly the qualities that fit many of our other vacancies. So if you are attracted, take this opportunity and who knows, it might not just be 'three fantastic days'!"
VolkerWessels is the Official Event Supporter of the Dutch Grand Prix. The Technical Pitlane Assistant is part of Team VolkerWessels, a group of hundreds of enthusiastic VolkerWessels colleagues who, in addition to their daily work as supervisors, work planners, branch managers or receptionists, volunteer for three days at the Dutch Grand Prix circuit.
